Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We are seeking a Production Maintenance Technician for our first shift, operating from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm in Milwaukee. Compensation starts at $28 per hour or more, depending on your specific background and expertise.
About the PositionIn this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our facility running smoothly by identifying, fixing, and servicing essential machinery such as waterjets, bridge saws, inline polishers, and CNC equipment. Your work will focus on diagnosing complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic problems, executing necessary repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure our systems operate at their highest potential.
KeyDuties
- Minimize production interruptions by quickly identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic malfunctions as they arise.
- Collaborate closely with production leadership and machine operators to monitor equipment health and schedule repairs in a way that supports our manufacturing goals.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all safety guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures during every service task.
- Ensure that our repair processes remain efficient by tracking spare parts inventory and alerting management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance, such as checking calibrations, inspecting blades and belts, changing filters, and applying lubrication according to established logs.
We require at least five years of practical experience in machine repair or industrial maintenance. While an associate degree or vocational training in the field is beneficial, it does not replace the need for extensive, hands‑on repair experience.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of troubleshooting and fixing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components like sensors, valves, pumps, motors, and control panels within a manufacturing setting.
- Show proficiency in using diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools, while also demonstrating the ability to interpret equipment schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints.
We encourage individuals with disabilities and protected veterans to apply.
All applicants must possess dependable transportation and demonstrate a commitment to working safely and productively during the first shift.
