Fabrication Brake​/Saw

Fabrication Brake / Saw Wage: $26.00-$30.00/hour

We’re hiring for a Fabrication Brake / Saw role for a company in Milwaukee, WI.

• Operate an automated Brake
  - Band saw to cut structural metal per cut sheet specifications
• Maintain steel inventory in an organized and efficient manner
• Properly identify materials such as sheet, plate, channel, tube, and flat bar, including thickness, width, and gauge
• Handle various materials, including mild steel, aluminum, brass, tool steel, and cast iron
• Read and interpret basic measurements using a tape measure within 1/16-inch accuracy
• Assist with loading and unloading material deliveries using a forklift
• Put away materials and components for storage and use in production
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to company safety and quality standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
• Ability to follow directions, ask questions, and learn from supervisors and co-workers
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
