Under the direction of the Tool Room Manager, the Tooling Specialist is responsible for Toolroom Repair Projects, Mold Evaluations, Assist with Coordination of Outsourced Mold Repairs and continuous improvement of tooling. This will be achieved by maintaining Hellermann Tyton’s Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Essential Functions:- Perform Mold Evaluationsandbeabletorecommendmoldrebuilds .
- Accuratelyevaluateandexecutemoldrepairsorchanges.
- Evaluateandcheck-innewmoldsfromoutsidevendors.
- Identifyandcommunicateanypossibletoolingimprovements.
- Delegateworkaswellastrain Tool Room Leadand Mold Maintenance Technicians
- Adheretoproductionandqualitystandards.
- Abilitytoaccuratelyuse Tool Roomequipment (grinders/lathes/Mill/etc.)
- WorkwithQAtoidentifyqualityconcerns.
- Maintainacleanandsafeworkarea
- Performothertasksasassigned
- Assistsinmonitoringtoolroomactivitiesinabsenceofsupervisor
- Adheretoallsafetyregulations,suchasPPEaswellasallcompanypoliciesandprocedures.
- Abilitytotroubleshootmolds(inandoutsideofthepress)
- Abilitytoaccuratelyevaluatemoldrepairsorchanges.
- Abilitytodelegateworkto Mold Maintenance Technicians
- Abilitytotrain Tool Room Leadand Mold Maintenance Technicians .
- Successfulcompletionofforklifttraining.
- Abilitytoaccuratelyuse Tool Roomequipment (grinders/lathes/Mill/etc.)
- Moldbuildingexperiencei(Journeyman Toolmaker) is preferred.
- Highschooldiplomaorequivalentrequired.
- Mustpossessgoodwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Musthavegoodproblem-solvingskillsandbedetail-oriented.
- Abilitytofollowwrittenandverbalinstructions.
- Abilitytolift/push/pullupto
50lbs. - Musthaveownprecisiontools.
- Abletostandandwalkforupto8hours.
- Priorforkliftexperience,preferred.
- Abilitytoworknon-standardhoursincludingweekendshifts.
- Musthaveavaliddriver'slicense,withanacceptabledrivingrecord,alongwithadequateinsurance.
