Neighborhoods that thrive, neighbors that support one another, individuals who have new hope. Our model creates thriving neighborhoods by both providing relief in the immediate while catalyzing neighborhoods towards long-term stability.

In our People's Pantry, we serve over 6,000 families each year with an emergency short-term supply of food. We make it a priority to provide all families with an abundance of fresh and culturally relevant foods.

Our innovative People's Food Collective program is a proactive approach to hunger and poverty in our city. In cohorts of 20 families, community residents gather together to address their food needs and have a community conversation around resources, things going on in the neighborhood, and supporting one another in their goals. Our model has shown to increase economic security, increase community connection, and give residents a greater sense of purpose and autonomy.

In a community‑based, supportive, and respectful environment, People’s Table empowers families through nutritionally‑sound food, resource connection, and strengthening the social fabric of neighborhoods.

We’re looking for a regularly scheduled driver to assist with our food pickup and delivery operations. This person would directly increase the capacity for a local grassroots nonprofit to catalyze positive change and transform the wellbeing of Milwaukee neighborhoods.

• Driving – using a large refrigerated cargo van for food pickups and drop offs.
• Collecting and delivering donations – assist in picking up groceries from community food partners.
• Unload food and organize it into our food supply room.

• Regularly needed on Wednesday mornings from 9 am – 11 am.
• Handful of other times per month as needed, based on when suppliers need pickups.

• Proof of valid driver’s license.
• Driving background check via Checkr.

• 19,282 individuals served through our pantry.
• More than 50,000 pounds of fresh produce distributed.
• 80 Food Collective Engagements with resource partners such as employment, financial education, foodshare application, and legal.
• 500,000 pounds of food given away.
• 7 volunteer trainings to equip our team with tools and resources.
• 45 families participating in Food Collectives.
• 100 resource partners and speakers sharing opportunities and guidance.
