Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Employer: Froedtert Health
Location: Milwaukee, WI – On‑site at Froedtert Hospital (Milwaukee)
Employment Type: Full‑time, 36 hours per week (FTE 0.9)
Shift: Rotating PM shifts (1500, 1715, 1915 & 2115 start times), every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Job SummaryThe RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of adult patients in an inpatient emergency department environment. The RN works with dedicated arena and trauma teams in a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Nursing‑to‑patient ratios are adjusted by care area to meet high‑acuity demands.
Experience and Qualifications- Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin or a multi‑state Nursing License (NLC).
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months; TNCC and PALS within 1 year.
- Clinical competence and experience in adult emergency care, trauma, and high‑acuity adult populations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; non‑BSN nurses with
