Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, perform as a licensed caregiver, assuming responsibility and accountability for assigned residents/patients for a shift of duty.
• Provide nursing care through coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the resident’s/patient’s plan of care.
• Adhere to standards of care for the area, manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, and supervise the resident/patient care activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Follow all Center policies and procedures and perform duties defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required

Education and Experience:

• Licensed in the State as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).
• Ability to calculate drug dosage.
• Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other staff.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and an aptitude to learn company applications.
