Registered Nurse, Neurosciences Med/Surg – Froedtert Health

Location:

FROEDTERT HOSPITAL, Milwaukee, WI, USA. On‑site position.

Employment type:

Full‑time (FTE: 0.900). Standard hours: 36.00 hrs/week. Shift: 1500–2330 with weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. The RN demonstrates competency in the delivery of care primarily to an adult population, following the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care and management of adult patients within the Neurosciences Med/Surg unit.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for the assigned patient group.

Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Experience and Education
  • Clinical competence in patient populations specific to the Neurosciences Med/Surg area.
  • Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin or a Multi‑state Nursing License from an NLC participating state.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; non‑BSN RN with less than one year required to enroll in a BSN program within 15 months of hire and complete within 5 years (6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD).
Licensure and Certifications
  • Valid Wisconsin RN license or equivalent multi‑state license.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire.
