Job SummarySeeking a skilled and compassionate Vascular Access Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, inserting and maintaining various vascular access devices, and providing education to staff and patients. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, precision, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Assess patients for appropriate vascular access.
- Insert and maintain diverse vascular access devices.
- Provide education to staff and patients regarding access devices.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate vascular access nursing care in accordance with Froedtert Hospital’s nursing professional practice model.
- Minimum of 2 years recent direct patient care as a registered nurse in a medical/surgical or critical care clinical setting.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi‑state Nursing License from an NLC participating state.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent required within 90 days.
