Base pay: $40.30/hr - $60.45/hr
Major Responsibilities- Demonstrates operational accountability ensuring an efficient and effective nursing unit during the shift, meeting patient care needs while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates collaboration among healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provides clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring that patient care meets established standards and protocols.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and educational opportunities to strengthen nursing staff professional growth.
- Oversees continuous quality improvement initiatives within the nursing unit.
- Fosters a culture of innovation and excellence to maintain the highest care standards.
- Ensures clear and effective communication among nursing staff.
- Promotes a collaborative environment to optimize patient care delivery.
- Manages resource utilization, ensuring staffing, equipment, and supplies are allocated effectively.
- Coordinates emergency response and crisis management effectively.
- Advocates for patients and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Upholds the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct.
- Demonstrates age‑specific nursing care competence for patient populations.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 months unless otherwise determined.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Typically requires 5 years of nursing experience.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Ability to lead in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Critical thinking and timely decision making.
- Assessment of others' skills and abilities.
- Ability to coach and provide service recovery.
- Effective leader rounding skills.
- Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.
- Collaboration with internal/external customers.
- Commitment to patient‑focused care.
- Independent prioritization and multitasking response.
- Stress tolerance and conflict resolution.
- Lifting/transfer of patients up to 50 lbs (or 35 lbs without assistance with equipment).
- Recognition of needs of specific age groups.
- Exposure to hazardous materials and life‑threatening diseases.
- As needed, perform patient care assignments.
