Registered Nurse (RN) Surgery - Specialty:
Perioperative nursing with experience in PACU, GI, Pre/Post-operative care, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry. - Use of EPIC electronic health record system.
- May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed.

- Willingness to work in PACU, GI, Pre/Post-operative, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry.
- Experience with EPIC system.
Job Requirements
- Flexible shift times: .
- Call schedule based on department needs: currently every other day and every other weekend.
- Call on Fridays starting at 1500 and ending Monday morning at 0700.
- Holidays assigned as needed.
Schedule Information
- Unit includes perioperative areas such as PACU, GI, Pre/Post-operative, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry.
Unit Specific Information
- Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified for BLS.
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment.
- Completion of Ascension-specific onboarding and competency requirements including color vision, core competencies, EKG exam, Epic test-out, specialty exam, skills checklist, and others as specified by Ascension Health.
- Documentation of required vaccinations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, TB testing, and health statement.
- Background checks, drug screening, education and employment verifications required as per Ascension policies.
