Travel Nurse Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU), 24 beds
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (excluding orientation and holidays)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
• Float Requirement: May float to NICU and PICU as needed
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic

PICU RN Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin or Compact Registered Nurse license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 12-18 months of recent, high-acuity pediatric cardiac ICU nursing experience
• Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Professional scrubs required (any color)

Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care to pediatric cardiac patients, including neonates, infants, and adult congenital heart patients
• Coordinate and manage patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment
• Utilize advanced cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills for patients post-open heart surgery, heart transplant, and open chest procedures
• Care for hemodynamically unstable patients and those with impending respiratory failure
• Float to NICU and PICU as needed to support comprehensive patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
