JOB TITLE: Cook Level II
DEPARTMENT: Culinary/Food and Beverage
SUPERVISOR: Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
POSITION
PURPOSE:
Responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production, and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared at a specific station.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment such as knives, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
- Must own a set of knives.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work in confined spaces with high noise levels and interruptions.
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
- Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or related training/experience.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
- Cooking experience of 1-2 years in a similar role required.
- Ability to obtain necessary local, state, or federal licenses or certifications.
- Must join H.E.R.E. Local 122 union.
