Retail Shortage Control - Part Time

Shortage Control Associate – Join our team and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will monitor store entrances, provide a warm greeting to customers, and mitigate theft by maintaining a visible and confident presence. You will collaborate with managers and associates to identify theft incidents, conduct bag checks, and support shortage reduction programs.

• Maintain a professional appearance and stand at the front of the store, remaining vigilant.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a smile and a friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies and collaborate with the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates.
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain confidentiality and review business trends.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to monitor the store environment.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with disciplined decision‑making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
