Bakery​/Cake Decorator

Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product questions and suggestions.
• Maintain knowledge of bakery products, including wedding cakes, and prepare bakery items per customer requests.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items.
• Ensure product quality and freshness, review sell-by dates, and operate bakery equipment properly.
• Label, stock, and inventory bakery merchandise; report discrepancies.
• Assist customers in locating products and stay updated on store promotions.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations; report safety risks and incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance on bakery equipment and report repairs.

Qualifications:

• Retail and bakery/cake decorating experience preferred.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills; second language skills are a plus.
