The RoleWe are seeking a self‑motivated, confident individual with a history of over achievement for a professional industrial business‑to‑business sales role. The Territory Manager will focus on securing new accounts while maintaining and growing the existing customer base in a specific geographic territory in the WI area (remote is acceptable but must live in WI).
Key Responsibilities- Prospect for and win new customers to increase the customer base.
- Retain and grow sales and profitability with existing customers.
- Proactively assess and validate customer needs and goals on an ongoing basis.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account.
- Use internet, trade shows, and company‑generated leads to source new accounts.
- Maintain high activity levels and review with management as required.
- Develop and present sales proposals aligned to customer needs and goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed customer plans for existing and prospective key accounts critical to achieving territory revenue and profit margin goals.
- Maintain high levels of professional internal and external communication.
- Represent the company in a professional manner including abiding to regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other Applied Product functional areas (Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service).
- Support safety procedures and complete required safety training.
- Identify and support improvement opportunities for processes to support company objectives and client expectations.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
Associate’s Degree required. - 3‑5 years of successful sales experience with proven growth track record.
- Minimum of 3 years business‑development experience, hunter mentality.
- Strong planning, organization, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- CRM/Salesforce experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other office machinery.
- Strong communication skills, ability to convey information clearly.
