Dir of Security & Transport

Job Description

As the Director of Security & Transportation, you will serve as a key leader ensuring our guests a safe and comfortable stay through effective management of the security team. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will directly oversee the daily functions of the security and transportation teams, ensuring alignment with brand standards.

Located at the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee offers 729 well-appointed guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Built in 1927, the hotel prides itself on continuous innovation and world‑class service.

• Recruitment and selection for open positions in the department.
• Ensure associates are fully trained for their essential jobs.
• Manage associates through guidance, reward, and recognition.
• Schedule, coach, and counsel associates.
• Investigate any unlawful acts (internal or external).
• Conduct departmental meetings and shift‑change roll calls.
• Chair the Safety Team and meetings.
• Liaison with MPD / DSNA.
• Maintain MSDS books.
• Maintain the MOD program.
• Maintain emergency procedures.
• Write reports.
• Assist loss prevention officers with their duties.
• Oversee the Transportation & Parking Ramp departments.
• Maintain hotel radio communications.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience required.
• Prior experience in a related field.
• CPR / First Aid training preferred.
