Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Leads, the Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for all phases of maintenance including PM/PDM, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, control systems, and mechanical repair of key process equipment. This will be achieved by maintaining Hellermann Tyton's audited certifications and supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Essential Functions:- Investigate, diagnose, and perform corrective actions on all key process equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems using schematics, ladder diagrams, and drawings.
- Enter repair requests into CMMS software.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Assist with industrial engineering projects.
- Install and upgrade key process equipment and systems.
- Report discrepancies to maintenance leads or supervisor.
- Practice lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Communicate work progress between shifts.
- Attend and complete forklift certification and required training.
- Complete purchase orders as per procedure.
- Wear required PPE, including safety shoes at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to repair PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and diagrams.
- Knowledge of test equipment and maintenance practices.
- Experience with CMMS and quality/EMS procedures.
- Understanding of corrective action processes.
- Proficiency in all MT 1 requirements.
- 5+ years in Hellermann Tyton’s maintenance or equivalent experience, military training, or relevant diploma/certification.
- Ability to investigate, diagnose, and perform repairs independently or in a team.
- Experience with upgrades, modifications, and installations.
- Assist with projects and training of other technicians.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
