Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Leads, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for all phases of maintenance, including PM/PDM, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, control systems, and mechanical repair of all key process equipment. This will be achieved by maintaining Hellermann Tyton’s audited certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

• Investigate, diagnose, and perform corrective actions on all key process equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems working from schematics, ladder diagrams, and drawings.
• Enter machine/equipment repair requests into the CMMS software database.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance inspections and complete repairs that may arise from those inspections.
• Assist with industrial engineering projects.
• Install and upgrade key process equipment and systems.
• Report to the maintenance leads or maintenance supervisor upon detection of any machine/equipment/building discrepancies that can/ will have detrimental effects.
• Practice lock-out tag-out procedures.

• Communicate work that took place between shifts to the following shift.
• Attend and successfully complete forklift certification.
• Attend required training/seminars.
• Complete purchase orders according to procedure and submit for approval.
• Required personal protective equipment: safety shoes at all times. Additional PPE as required by department‑specific instructions.
• All employees entering the manufacturing area must wear the designated PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to complete PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read schematics, ladder diagrams, and drawings.
• Knowledge of the use of test equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial preventive/predictive maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of using a CMMS.
• Knowledge of Quality and EMS certifications, work instructions, and procedures.
• Knowledge of the corrective action process.

• 2 years of experience as a skilled trade technician, comparable military service experience, and training, or completion of a skilled trade diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, or associate degree.
• A complete set of personnel industrial maintenance tools.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime weekdays and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.; ability to stand and walk during the scheduled shift.
• Training to perform all preventive and predictive procedures properly and accurately.
• Training to investigate, diagnose, and perform corrective actions on all HT key process equipment and systems.
• Training on all required software.
• Ability to diagnose issues using schematics and drawings.
• Valid driver’s license, adequate insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
• Competent knowledge and troubleshooting skills, and willingness to learn new skills in the following areas.
