Job Description
This role focuses on performing finish carpentry and trim work on commercial construction projects in the Milwaukee area. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to complete high-quality interior finishes, contributing to new construction and buildout projects while working as part of a skilled carpentry crew.
Responsibilities
Perform finish carpentry and trim work on commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality and precise results.
Install and complete interior trim components, such as moldings, casings, and other finish carpentry elements.
Use personal hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
Read and follow project plans, specifications, and directions to complete work according to job requirements.
Work on new construction and buildout projects in the Milwaukee area, adapting to different jobsite conditions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools, materials, and equipment responsibly.
Collaborate with crew members and other trades on site to support efficient project completion.
Travel independently between projects as needed, arriving on time and prepared for the workday.
Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment while on the jobsite.
Essential Skills
At least 4 years of trim carpentry experience, including finish carpentry and commercial trim work.
Proficiency in finish carpentry tasks such as cutting, fitting, and installing trim and other interior finish components.
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools related to carpentry and trim work.
Strong understanding of commercial construction environments and jobsite practices.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between projects independently.
Ability to read and follow basic construction plans, measurements, and instructions.
Commitment to safety, including consistent use of required personal protective equipment.
Reliability and punctuality for a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm schedule, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on both new construction and buildout projects.
Comfort working within larger crews and coordinating with multiple team members.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in finish carpentry work.
Ability to adapt to changing project needs and varying jobsite conditions.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing team, including support for expanding crews in different locations.

Work Environment
This position is based on active commercial construction jobsites, including both new construction and buildout projects in the Milwaukee area. You will work within established crews, with approximately 40 team members in Milwaukee and a growing team in Madison. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some overtime depending on project demands. You will use your own personal hand tools to perform daily tasks and work around typical construction equipment and trades.
The role requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including a hard hat and protective work boots, and following all site safety requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MILWAUKEE, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
