The Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position located in Milwaukee, WI. The Mechanic is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on roofing and sheet metal equipment, vehicles, and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, and completing repairs on heavy equipment and related machinery used on job sites. The Mechanic will inspect equipment, document maintenance activities, order or request necessary parts, and coordinate with project teams to minimize downtime.

This role also involves following safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and collaborating with supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair across a range of construction and roofing equipment.
• Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduling and performing routine inspections and servicing.
• Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment commonly used in commercial roofing and sheet metal operations.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues efficiently.
• Relevant technical training or certification in mechanics, automotive, or equipment repair is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a mechanic in construction, roofing, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Capability to lift and move heavy objects, work in outdoor conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
