DescriptionUMOS is a mission‑driven, customer‑focused organization with over 1,000 professionals in more than 60 offices across seven states. We support a wide range of services, from early childhood development to workforce training for at‑risk individuals, farm workers, and survivors of domestic violence or human trafficking.

$19.00 to $23.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and conduct employer contacts using effective communication and marketing techniques to promote partnerships and incentives.
- Schedule and organize on‑site recruitments, job fairs, and special events.
- Monitor economic market changes and trends, and report information to management for future employment opportunities and training programs.
- Maintain awareness of local employers, their market share, services, reputations, benefits, and wage levels.
- Establish relationships with Community Based Organizations to promote UMOS W‑2 goals.
- Build and maintain long‑term employer relationships focused on hiring and retention outcomes.
- Facilitate inter‑unit, inter‑office, and inter‑agency communications and coordination for the Employment Services Unit.
- Secure unsubsidized employment opportunities and develop Community Service Jobs, CP‑TEMP slots, job skills training, and other employer‑linked opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy of job orders and maintenance in the employer tracking system.
- Use state data systems (CWW, WWP, WEBI) and employer tracking database to record and access customer, employer, and site data.
- Assist case management with CMF caseload retention services.
- Work with case management to assess cases for job skills training opportunities, facilitate orientation, and prepare participants for training.
- Associate degree or two years of college‑level work in business, marketing, or a related field; or 3 years of experience in employment services and/or related activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of staffing, employer marketing, job development, and placement through education or experience.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and interpret labor market information and forecast trends.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to meet agency goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Bilingual in English and another language (verbal and written).
- Awareness and sensitivity to socio‑economic and culturally diverse backgrounds of target populations.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, car, adequate auto liability insurance, and willingness to travel and work irregular hours.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent driving.
- Exposure to moderate temperatures in controlled and outdoor environments.
- Noise level usually semi‑moderate.
- iPad, iPhone, laptop, projectors, copy/scanner, computer.
- Scanning and encryption of documents as necessary.
- First‑aid equipment, fire extinguisher (usage varies by position).
Employment with UMOS is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background and driver’s license record check prior to employment.
