Amentum is searching for a Top‑Secret cleared Software Developer (Mid) to join our team in Washington, DC. The organization’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The team leverages agile practices to provide enhanced reporting and global searching capabilities that facilitate task management, cross‑utilization, and address national intelligence priorities while protecting confidential data and sources.
Responsibilities- Develop, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
- Maintain a good understanding of business applications, user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Assist in the development of software user manuals.
- Responsible for desktop design, testing, security lockdown implementation, integration with standard software packages, integration with automated patching and deployment technologies, documentation, and training, including automating application and configuration deployments and updates.
- Apply expertise to multiple complex work assignments, demonstrating originality and innovation, and operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3 years of related technical specialized experience.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or another related field. - In the absence of a degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $115,000 and $155,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
