Position: Logistics Technician 2 2nd Shift

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $21.50/hr.

Job Summary
  • Responsible for efficient and timely staging, loading, and shipping of prepared mailings to guarantee proper quality and compliance with company policy and USPS requirements.
  • Properly unload trucks of incoming material and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Load trucks with finished goods according to trailer sheets and transportation manager’s directions.
  • Post all raw materials in and out of the warehouse on the computerized tracking system.
  • Additionally fulfills the duties of a Logistics Technician 1 as required.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
  • Forklift Operations: Performs shipping scheduling, manages daily work assignments to prioritize loads and ensure accuracy for USPS shipments, weighs materials as required, and ensures compliance with all company guidelines. Coordinates daily shipping operations and ensures deliveries meet contract terms.
  • Organizational: Manages raw materials to ensure continuous production, uses Oracle Transportation System to generate shipping and postal documentation, implements Postage Payment Elective agreement (PPE) compliance, provides material handling guidance, monitors warehouse organization, and assists in material disposition and variance notifications.
  • Administrative: Enters receiving information into computer systems and prepares reports, performs housekeeping to eliminate safety hazards, conducts physical inventories, develops rapport with postal personnel, provides orientation to new employees, monitors quality of technician reports, investigates issues, and responds to inquiries from other departments.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate’s Degree (Preferred)
  • 1–3 years related experience required
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification
  • Knowledge of USPS shipping requirements and company transportation, production & receiving procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication in English
Equipment/Software Utilized
  • Basic computer software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Warehouse/Transportation/Inventory systems (including Oracle Transportation System)
  • Forklift
Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $18.00–$21.50/hr the pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on geographic location. Pay may also vary according to education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, compensation may include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, tuition assistance, maternity and adoption assistance, and other supplemental coverages.
