Warehouse Loading Associate - Night Shift

Come be part of a team that strives to be the best, wins together, and is passionate about pets! Central Pet Distribution, a division of Central Pet & Garden Company is currently seeking a Warehouse Truck Loader/Consolidator on Night Shift at our facility in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsible for tasks in relation to packaging, consolidating, wrapping and/or loading picked orders onto delivery trucks in appropriate order and balancing. Responsible for maintaining accuracy while consolidating or loading. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below.

Night Shift: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 pm – 3:30 am

Night Shift: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience + $2.00 night shift pay.

• Accurately review order and delivery documentation to ensure proper product is sorted and/or loaded. Identify correct pallet and check order. Wrap pallet contents per specifications.
• Consolidate and load outgoing orders onto delivery trucks, ensuring loads are stable, damage‑free and loaded in a manner that complies with maximum truck axle weights.
• Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by the business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.
• Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross‑train in other departmental areas.
• Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed.
• Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk‑rider, forklift, shrink wrapper and/or other required equipment.

• 2 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred.
• Previous forklift certification and Voice picking (Vocollect) / RF scanner experience, preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• The warehouse is a non‑climate‑controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
• Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
