The Shipping & Receiving Lead coordinates and executes daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role is a hands‑on lead, supporting shipments that are received, documented, staged, and shipped correctly, safely, and on time. The position plays a critical role in inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and warehouse safety by maintaining records, verifying product movement, and supporting continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
Responsibilities- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, and measurements against bills of lading, invoices, and shipping documentation.
- Prepare outbound shipments by labeling, packaging, and verifying accuracy prior to shipment.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or shortages and communicate discrepancies promptly to supervisors and appropriate departments.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure product, quantity, and packaging meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, damage claims, and shipment records.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including returns, pallets, and damaged goods.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials.
- Enter and maintain shipment data in inventory and order‑processing systems to support accurate billing and reporting.
- Support traceability and documentation requirements in coordination with Operations and Quality teams.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas while following safety and operational procedures.
- Assemble shipping containers as needed and ensure proper packaging for product protections.
- Follow all safety, security, and warehouse procedures, including proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Support training of new team members on shipping, receiving, and safety procedures.
- Communicate issues, delays, or risks to supervisors in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.

- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram‑based instructions.
- Working knowledge of inventory or order processing systems; basic computer proficiency preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (non‑weather).
