Grade 1 Class Teacher 2025-26
Portland Waldorf School is welcoming applications for a full-time Class Teacher beginning with Grade 1 in the 2026-27 school year. Successful candidates will enthusiastically engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues and the parent community to create an educational environment aligned with Waldorf pedagogy, our school mission, and program goals.
Responsibilities- Engage and support students in a Waldorf grade-1 classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the parent community to implement the school’s mission and program goals.
- Maintain an educational environment aligned with Waldorf pedagogy and Anthroposophical principles.
- Bachelor’s degree and Waldorf teacher training certificate are required.
- Preferred candidates will have Waldorf teaching experience.
- Commitment to Waldorf education, working out of Anthroposophy, and a love of teaching.
Salary range is $54, per year and is dependent upon education and experience. Benefits offered include health insurance, retirement plan, tuition remission, paid time off, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
