Overview
Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift.
Sign-on Bonus A $6,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. This is in addition to Providence benefits and compensation that begin on the first day of employment.
Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence or absence of disease with knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations including Transesophageal echocardiography, trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast-enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.

Responsibilities- Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Identify presence or absence of disease with thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography procedures (e.g., TEE, echo-guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo-guided biopsies as location specific, contrast-enhanced exams, stress echocardiography).
- Oregon Sonographer upon hire.
- National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire or
- National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHEP-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities.
- Pediatric echocardiography experience.
- Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
- Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures.

Additional Information
- All wage ranges shown are base pay ranges. Final placement within the range depends on relevant experience and other factors. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, and bonuses.
- Pay Range: $44.67 - $69.35 per hour.
