Job DescriptionThis is a hybrid position and requires frequent travel across both our North and Central Louisiana regions to support provider engagement, promote our services, and advance strategic outreach initiatives.
ScopeThe Physician Liaison is responsible for devising and implementing a strategic plan to maintain and increase referrals from healthcare providers within their designated territory. This role heavily emphasizes the use of data for analysis, targeted outreach, and territorial expansion. The Physician Liaison must achieve predetermined growth objectives within their specified region, demonstrating a thorough grasp of the oncology landscape.
Functions- Initiate and maintain regular communication with referring providers through various channels including peer‑to‑peer interactions, routine or follow‑up visits, emails, and phone calls.
- Serve as the point of contact and liaison partner to MBPCC physicians in designated territory, working collaboratively to highlight the Cancer Center’s expertise.
- Utilize Salesforce and One Analytics to analyze market trends, monitor referral activity, develop territory plan, and track new patient growth.
- Collaborate with counterparts in marketing & communications to ensure timely, brand‑focused messaging is deployed to providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, healthcare management, or related fields required.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience within oncology or healthcare industry required.
- Must be available to attend community events and sponsored functions as needed.
- Must be highly‑organized and detail‑oriented; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with monitoring CRM and market analytics data, preferably via Salesforce platform.
- Ability to pull general analytical territory reports associated with the appropriate reporting tools and job functions.
- Comfortable travelling within a 100–300 mile radius weekly.
- Strong knowledge of the oncology landscape and experience in physician relations a plus.
