As a PRN 7P Registered Nurse (RN) at Minden Medical Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will be both rewarding and impactful. You can expect to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, providing essential care to patients during critical hours. Each shift will involve assessing patients' conditions, administering medications, and coordinating care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

You’ll be expected to monitor vital signs, manage IV therapy, and address any immediate patient needs with empathy and professionalism. Communication is key; you will regularly update families on patient progress while ensuring their comfort and safety. To excel as a PRN 7P Registered Nurse (RN) at Minden Medical Center, a combination of clinical skills and certifications is essential. You must hold a current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and possess a valid CPR certification. The ability to obtain ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications within the first six months of employment is also required to ensure high standards of patient care.

While at least one year of medical/surgical and/or emergency department experience is preferred, your dedication to continuous learning is what truly sets you apart. You will need to complete the Pediatric Trauma Course (ENPC) within six months of joining our team.

Additionally, having a TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is a valuable asset. Strong communication, compassion, and critical thinking skills will enable you to thrive in our fast-paced and focused environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment
• Completion of Pediatric Trauma Course (ENPC) within 6 months of employment
• At least a year of medical/surgical and/or emergency department (ED) experience is preferred
• but not required. TNCC certification is a plus!
