American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 12-week assignment requiring BSN, ACLS, and 2+ years of operating room experience.

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• Caseload includes robotic procedures, total joints, ortho trauma, spine, vascular, urology, laparoscopic, and neurosurgery cases
• Uses specialized equipment including Jackson table, robotics, Wilson frame, beach chair, laser, power equipment, and microscopes
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM

• Active NY RN license required, in hand or with ETA on issue date
• BSN required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Robotics experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
• EKG testing required within 72 hours of signing
• Two managerial references required (Charge RN references not accepted)
• Copy of official diploma required for candidates with international degrees

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• COVID vaccine required with no exceptions
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this unit
• RTO must be 5 days or less, with no RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous NYU staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Employee parking provided at no fee, with street parking also available
