Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design, develop, implement and analyze complete aircraft avionic systems. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams across multiple projects, ensuring system performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

• Review customer product requests and propose design changes to existing products.
• Analyze project proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time, discussing findings with engineers, customers and other personnel.
• Support customer development and design activities.
• Perform system/software integration activities to verify product functionality.
• Develop and modify testing applications or tools to support integration and formal tests.
• Evaluate product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards and specifications.
• Assist software/system development for new and legacy product lines.
• Support avionics systems ground and flight testing.
• Participate in aircraft system safety assessment processes, preparing functional hazard assessments, system safety assessments, FMEAs, fault tree analyses, as required.
• Support system and subsystem analysis, requirements specification and modelling/performance analysis.
• Demonstrate knowledge of FAA and other certification authorities’ avionics certification processes.
• Provide certification support for TSO and STC projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum five years of related avionics experience and technical professional experience.
• Proficiency in design and development processes, software, spreadsheet and word‑processing tools.
• Strong understanding of FAA aircraft certification and system safety assessment processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of avionics systems engineering and related industry standards.
• Expertise in product requirements and requirements‑management tools.
• Capability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
• Ability to perform engineering work in ground and flight test environments.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Mineral Wells, TX: $85,000 – $125,000 annually (base salary; actual compensation varies by factors such as experience and performance).
