IMMEDIATE HIRING! Fleet Manufacturing Technician Associate FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY! This position plays an entry level role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our customers' vehicles. This role may be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including vehicle body repairs, painting, structural work, welding, cabinet making, fabrication, upholstery, electrical harnesses assembly, disassembly, and parts installation. This entry-level position requires basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Responsibilities- Perform basic bodywork and repair tasks on vehicles, including dent repairs, scratch removal, and major structural repairs; ensure repairs meet manufacturer and industry specifications.
- Assist in preparation of surfaces for priming/painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers; assist in applying paint and clear coats with precision.
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of vehicles, including complex tasks on a variety of vehicles; document processes and organize parts for repair or restoration.
- Remove and replace damaged vehicle parts (panels, fenders, bumpers, lights) and ensure precise alignment and fitment of new parts.
- Perform rework on defects found during Quality Control and other inspections.
- Disassemble, tag, pack, store, and retrieve parts from storage as needed.
- Assemble and manufacture sub-assemblies including upholstery, wiring harnesses, switch panels, and other components.
- Assist in refurbishment and upfit tasks; diagnose and repair ambulances, support vehicles, and other equipment; participate in engine, transmission, and electrical repairs; assist in ambulance manufacturing and upfitting.
- Assist in quality assurance activities with the Quality Control Department to ensure repairs, refinishing, assembly, and disassembly meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards; report safety hazards as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned; maintain safe working conditions.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred;
Automotive Trade School or related certifications and degrees preferred. - ASE, EVT, AWS, I-CAR preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions; ability to stand, bend, climb, and reach for extended periods.
