Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. This individual will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, monitoring outstanding invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and analytical skills, enjoys working with numbers, and can maintain accurate financial records while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on past-due invoices.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Apply and reconcile customer payments, including checks, ACH transfers, credit cards, and wire transfers.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories.
• Perform regular accounts receivable reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve account issues.
• Research and resolve short payments, unapplied cash, deductions, and disputed invoices.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Recommend process improvements to increase collection efficiency and reduce overdue balances.
