LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities- Partner with internal stakeholders including project teams, estimating, and design phase leads to align supply chain strategies with project goals and timelines.
- Responsible for managing and implementing short and long-term sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives for the Supply Chain function and contribute to company-wide strategy.
- Define sourcing initiatives in alignment with strategic plans and supply chain strategies.
- Support negotiations and maintain contracts and agreements with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
- Build on established supplier relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and productivity while leveraging the combined buying power of Mortenson’s operations.
- Collaborate across all business functions to formulate, implement, and execute sourcing and continuous improvement strategies.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and lead the implementation of best practices for supply chain.
- When selling materials, participate in contract negotiations with assigned customers. Ensure contract compliance.
- Collaborate with category team on project proposal strategy.
- Coordinate material planning to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules, including long-lead items and critical path materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience driving process improvements and leading change initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and materials, purchasing processes and procedures.
- Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal and communication skills.
- Proven people leader with experience in hiring, coaching, and mentoring a team of professionals to anticipate needs and achieve short and long-term goals.
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence decisions in a matrix organization.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Shown positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
- Current driver’s license.

Base pay range: $99,500 - $134,300. (Actual range higher for Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Washington, D.C.)
