Position Summary

Our Quick Coupling Division is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support individual sourcing projects and/or a set of assigned commodities by deploying best practices, procurement tools and negotiation skills. This role also assists in contract execution, implementation and supplier reviews for assigned contracts. The Sourcing Specialist works collaboratively and proactively to identify process, sourcing and contract improvement opportunities.

Parker’s Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

Responsibilities
  • Position sources suppliers, and may assist with bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justification, and risk assessment of suppliers.
  • May assist with supplier negotiations on new procurements or changes to existing purchase orders.
  • May drafts purchase orders and agreements for approval by the Sourcing & Commodity Manager.
  • Coordinates and participates in supplier meetings.
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree Supply Chain management or relevant discipline.
  • Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies, and manufacturing through internships or training programs.
  • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to understand electronic processing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
  • Pay Range: $73,050 to $115,900 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
