- Execute L2/L3 process-to-IT mapping for assigned applications within the wave, under direction of the Lead BA.
- Identify and document process gaps and automation/integration opportunities for assigned applications. Perform tool-based reverse engineering of assigned legacy applications to produce BRDs, validating findings with SMEs.
- Document process flows/user journeys and integration touchpoints for assigned applications.
- Support functional consolidation analysis by compiling and cross-referencing validated documentation. Where assigned, support the building of clickable prototypes for applications identified as "rewrite."
- Escalate risks, gaps, and ambiguities to the Lead BA in a timely manner.
- 3–6 years as a Business Analyst in P&C insurance, with exposure to at least one of underwriting, new business, claims, producer/distribution, compliance.
- Solid process-mapping and requirements-elicitation skills, including BRD documentation.
- Ability to work directly with SMEs and legacy systems (BPM, VB6, older Java/.NET) to extract undocumented functionality.
- Strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail for documentation-heavy deliverables.
- Familiarity with tool-based reverse engineering/documentation platforms.
- Familiarity with UX/clickable prototyping tools.
- IIBA/CBAP (or working toward) or other relevant BA certification.
- Exposure to IBM BPM, Salesforce, SharePoint, or Power Apps.
