Mother Duck is a Four‑Star Parent Aware childcare center where we are committed to delivering high quality childcare. We serve children between the ages of 6 weeks – Pre‑Kindergarten and are currently looking to hire a full‑time (Monday through Friday) Lead‑Qualified Teacher for both our preschool and toddler classrooms.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the children, parents, and staff within the company.
  • Follow daily schedules.
  • Write weekly newsletters with proper grammar and spelling.
  • Plan and implement weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for the classroom as well as individual children.
  • Direct and lead a classroom with care, love and leadership.
  • Follow safety and health rules while always supervising children.
  • Assess children and implement conferences.
Requirements to make you successful:
  • Lead Teachers must have a minimum of a complete CDA or associate’s degree in education or related field. (BS or BA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) CPR/1st Aid certification and keep current throughout employment.
  • Must be willing to complete all required classes/trainings to stay teacher qualified for both DHS and Parent Aware.
  • Must be able to follow set schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills with parents, staff, and children.
  • Must have a love and desire to work with children and have a warm and nurturing personality.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of childcare Rule 3 is a plus.
Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • 9‑hour shift (with a one‑hour break)
  • Hours of operation: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
  • No evenings.
  • No weekends.
