Morcon Construction is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to support our project teams through every major stage of the construction lifecycle. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, providing essential administrative and coordination support that keeps projects running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive administrative and coordination support to Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all major stages of a project, ensuring smooth communication, organized documentation, and consistent follow‑through.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including:
    • Management of daily field reports
    • Monitoring and tracking subcontractor submittals
    • Managing and organizing electronic project filing systems
    • Managing and monitoring project‑related RFIs
    • Civil unit quantity tracking and verification
  • Coordinate project workflow and communication, including:
    • Liaising between Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors
    • Scheduling and coordinating pre‑installation meetings
    • Managing Plan Grid / Autodesk platforms
  • Support compliance and internal controls, including:
    • Tracking and verification of Morcon employee timecards
    • Assisting with federal, state, and local EEO compliance for publicly funded projects
  • Contribute positively to Morcon’s culture and team environment by demonstrating initiative, professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity, and a solutions‑focused attitude in daily tasks and interactions.
  • Assist with general administrative needs and special projects as assigned by Ownership or project leadership.
Qualifications
  • 2‑year degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, or related degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with web‑based applications
  • Preference given for Sage 300 CRE experience
  • Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements
