Part-Time Customer Service Representative

Purpose

The part-time, temporary Customer Service Representative will provide all Peace Coffee customers with exceptional service and process information in response to orders, inquiries, and requests about products and services. This role will focus on customer needs and navigating challenges to meet the evolving needs of the Peace Coffee order and supply chain.

Expected Duration of Role: October through December 2026

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with online order tracking, cancellations, returns, exchanges, and troubleshooting checkout or website issues.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and digital messaging channels.
• Answer questions regarding product availability, sizing, specifications, and promotions to help drive sales and customer satisfaction.
• Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, damaged shipments, or billing questions by collaborating with our fulfillment team.
• Accurately document customer interactions and update account notes within our customer relationship management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail, customer service, or e-commerce support is highly preferred.
• Comfortable navigating e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and helpdesk software is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of spelling and grammar.
• Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional when handling escalated customer issues.
• Must be able to work a part-time schedule, Monday-Friday through the end of 2026. Schedule to include a Monday morning shift.
• Working knowledge of and experience with customer and/or vendor database software, and accounting systems.
• Able to thrive in an independent, self-directed environment that also has a strong ethic of teamwork and collaboration.
• Able to multitask, manage details, ensure accuracy and timeliness in a fast paced and changing work environment while remaining composed and professional.
• Inquisitive with a problem solving and investigative mindset.
• Interest in Peace Coffee’s Mission, coffee, and customer education is essential.

• This job operates in a clerical office setting, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
• This role requires the ability to sit or stand at the computer, answering phones and/or in meetings for extended periods of time.
• The ability to lift up to 40lbs to assist customers with orders, preferred.
