Salary / Compensation$95,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
RSA offers a competitive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance; 401(k) contributions; paid time off and holidays; flexible scheduling and hybrid work; and support for professional memberships, licensure and continuing education.
Roehr Schmitt Architecture + Interiors is looking for an experienced architect who can lead the full arc of a project, making it better at every stage.
Someone who thinks broadly and works precisely. Develops the big idea, communicates it clearly, understands how it gets built, organizes the effort, and stays actively engaged in the work from beginning to end.
You’re a strong designer with substantial professional experience leading projects through design, documentation and construction. You understand that good architecture is shaped by decisions made throughout every phase of a project.
You’re organized, direct and an excellent communicator. You see the details and the larger opportunity. You can lead clients, consultants and teams while staying close to the work.
You work well with others and help make the team stronger. You’re comfortable leading, mentoring and sharing what you know, but equally comfortable supporting others and learning from the people around you.
And you produce. You’re comfortable in the model, drawings, details and documents—not just managing the people who are.
- Typically 8+ years of professional experience
- Strong design judgment
- Excellent Revit and production skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Clear, straightforward communication
- The ability to lead, mentor, collaborate and support others as the work requires
- Confidence working with clients and consultants
- Experience carrying projects through documentation and construction
- An understanding of scope, schedule, fee and project performance
- Curiosity about technology and an active interest in AI and emerging tools
- A professional architecture degree; licensure is strongly preferred
RSA works across a range of commercial, civic, workplace, adaptive reuse and other project types. Deep expertise in a particular market, building type or technical area is a plus. We value people who bring something distinctive to the practice.
RSA is growing and evolving, while remaining small enough for talented people to have real influence.
We’re building a practice around ambitious design, disciplined execution and curiosity about what’s next.
For the right person, there is significant opportunity to grow, contribute and help shape the future of the practice.
