Integrative Oncology Physician - Minneapolis, MN
Allina Health Cancer Institute is seeking a fellowship-trained oncologist with additional training in palliative medicine or integrative oncology. This physician will play a pivotal role in building and shaping our Integrative Oncology department, collaborating across disciplines to deliver patient-centered, innovative cancer care.
Principle Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
- Practice in a thoughtful manner, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team case management.
- Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in patient care, outcomes, or workflow.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship program with additional training in Palliative Medicine/Integrative Oncology.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria and qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
- BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
Medium Work*:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs frequently.
- Privademic model blending academic-level medicine with community-based practice.
- Over 80 highly trained oncology specialists.
- Seventeen comprehensive cancer care locations across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
- Industry-leading integrative oncology and high-risk cancer surveillance programs.
- Accreditation from ACS, CoC, NAPBC, and APEx.
- In-house genomic laboratory supporting personalized cancer treatment.
- Robust clinical trial enterprise with over 50 trials within the Institute and over 100 through MMCORC.
- Use of artificial intelligence to support cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Full-time integrative oncologist position.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, nutritionists, geneticists, social workers, acupuncturists, palliative medicine experts, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Work closely with the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing to integrate complementary medicine and well-being services.
- Weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards.
- Epic EMR system for coordinated, connected care.
- State-of-the-art brand new clinics and infusion centers at three metro locations.
