** Hennepin Healthcare is currently in search of a Department Chair to provide leadership for the Department of Pediatrics.
** In this pivotal role, the Department Chair assumes responsibility for the strategic recruitment, retention, and development of the Medical Staff members. The Department Chair champions the organization's academic endeavors, is responsible for the quality of care delivered, works closely with provider professional services to manage departmental finances, and provides ongoing mentorship, sponsorship, and development of members of their medical staff team: both physicians and advanced practice providers.
Central to their responsibilities, the Department Chair is entrusted with optimizing the allocation of department resources, ensuring patient access to care, and fostering a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and comprehensive approach to care delivery. The Department Chair position is a full-time role that includes a blend of administrative responsibilities, clinical duties, and, in some departments, time for research.
