Locum Tenens Thoracic Surgeon

This role involves providing inpatient general CV/thoracic surgery coverage, including open and endoscopic procedures such as CABG (on pump and off pump), valvular repair, aneurysm repair, TAVR, LVAD, AICD placement, lung resection (including VATs), bronchoscopy, vent management, and surgeries involving the esophagus and diaphragm.

include performing 4-5 phone consultations, seeing 4-5 patients, and managing 4-5 admissions per 24-hour call, with rounding and admissions required in an inpatient setting. The role is primarily call-based, with a 20-minute response time and a call ratio of 1:2.

include expertise in general cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, ability to handle complex surgeries, and strong patient management skills.
