TCIS is hiring for a 2025-26 Long‑Call 1st Grade Substitute Teacher. Orientation/shadow period is from December 15–19, 2025, with in‑classroom work from January 2–February 13, 2026. Applicants must hold a valid MN Teaching License, or a valid Short‑/Long‑call Substitute license, by hire date. Daily rate is $300.00 (minus withholding) for each full day worked.

• Provide direct instruction and facilitate learning for all students.
• Teach assigned grade classes/subjects using the plans set by the absent teacher.
• Meet the needs of each student through individual and group instruction.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and good teaching practice expected of regular teachers.
• Communicate clearly with staff and students and contribute positively to learning and development.
• Perform additional administrative, supervisory, or miscellaneous tasks as assigned when not in the classroom.
• Experience with standards‑based instruction, English Language Learners, and common assessments is a plus.

• Valid MN Teaching License or a valid Short‑/Long‑call Substitute license by hire date.
• Experience with first‑grade instruction and the listed instructional practices is desirable.

Daily rate: $300.00 (minus withholding) for each full day worked.
