** Job Description
** The Accessibility Specialist position coordinates accommodations for students with disabilities at Minneapolis College.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Identifying and implementing accessibility measures for prospective and currently enrolled students with disabilities.
* Conducting intake interviews and registering students with documented disabilities with the office.
* Serving as mediator between students and the college as necessary for disability related issues.
* Serving as the rotational testing lead to support the delivery of accommodated and arranged testing.
* Increasing campus community awareness and utilization of the Accessibility Resource Center.
* Participating in recruitment activities specific to students with disabilities.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Experience in working higher education with background in social work, accessibility or related field.
* Experience working with a diverse population and individuals with disabilities.
* Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act 1973.
* Knowledge and proficiency of common technologies and ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Ability to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone and through e-mail and other written correspondence.
* Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporate culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
* Experience working in a postsecondary educational setting with students with disabilities.
* Fluent in second language.
** Other Requirement
** Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.
** Work Shift
** Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
** Telework
* * This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College's Telework Guidelines.
** Salary Range:
** MnSCU Academic Professional 1: $23.98 - $34.69 hourly / $50,070 - $72,433 annually
