LEAP Activities Instructor

Overview

The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District seeks applicants to join our team as a STEP/ LEAP Activities Instructor
. STEP/ LEAP Activities Instructors are responsible for leading groups of up to 20 youth in high-quality enrichment activities in such areas as youth leadership, art, music, physical activity, entrepreneurship, etc.

Hours will vary depending on availability and program schedule and will be determined with Out of School Time (OST) Leads and Community Schools Site Coordinators. STEP runs most Mondays through Thursdays—3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. LEAP runs most Mondays through Thursdays—4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Ideal candidates will possess the skills to build genuine relationships with students, encourage social/emotional learning through mentorship, thoughtfully plan and implement impactful activities, set boundaries and address behavior concerns with students.

Requirements: Previous experience leading activities with elementary and/or secondary school students

Dates: September 8, 2025 – May 22, 2026

Pay: $25.00/ hr
