Orchestra Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking an Orchestra Teacher for the  school year at an independent school in Minneapolis, MN.

$50,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

• Organizing, implementing and providing instruction for Middle and Upper School orchestra classes (3 levels of Middle School Orchestra and 2 levels of Upper School Orchestra).
• Direct and plan school concerts and planned music experiences.
• Builds strong relationships through clear and consistent communication with families, students, and colleagues, including timely updates on student progress and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication
• Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
• Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.
• Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans.
• Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in teaching strings and directing an orchestra required.
• 3 year of previous teaching experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
