Substitute Childcare Teacher (Southwest Metro)

Join New Horizon Academy as a Substitute Childcare Teacher in the Southwest metro area.

Wage range: $21.00/hr to $25.40/hr.

Location: Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Edina, Prior Lake, Shakopee, and Shorewood.

• Work at schools on a substitute basis, covering at least 3 days a week (Monday‑Friday) during one of the following shifts: 7:00 am‑4:00 pm, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, or 9:00 am‑6:00 pm.
• Deliver classroom instruction, maintain a positive learning environment, and promote child development.
• Support the curriculum and collaborate with teachers and support staff.

• Minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits or a CDA, meeting MN Rule 3 teacher qualification.
• Positive work ethic and a team‑centered attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to perform required job duties; meeting state background study and eligibility requirements.

Salary range: $21 - $25.40 (DOE).
