More than 8,600 diverse student learners are provided an exceptional education experience throughout the district's early learning center, six elementary schools (K
- Grade
5) including both French and Spanish Immersion programs, two middle schools (Grades 6-8), a high school (9-12), and the Edina Virtual Pathway online program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned classrooms, office areas, meeting rooms, corridors, lavatories, and locker rooms.
• Completes set-ups and take downs of chairs, tables, and heavy or bulky equipment as directed
• Cleans up and santizes after accidents or illness
• Assists in cleaning and monitoring boilers, vents, and air handling equipment.
• Maintains and properly stores tools and equipment.
• Follows all security measures when opening or closing a facility.

8 hours/day

DAILY SCHEDULE:

2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday

DAYS PER YEAR:

260 (12-month position)

RATE OF PAY:

The wage for this position ranges from $24.26 to $25.67 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New employees will start at the entry-level rate of $24.26 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-High school diploma or equivalent
-Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one
-Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
-Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-Custodial experience preferred, training will be provided.
