Responsibilities

  • Advise undergraduate students on our study abroad semester and yearlong programs through formal presentations and one‑on‑one meetings.
  • Assist in managing a portfolio of programs through the host institution application and pre‑departure processes.
  • Assist the study abroad team in the organization and execution of key programming and events. This includes but is not limited to the Study Abroad Fair, re‑entry programming, and pre‑departure orientations for students and families.
  • Assist the education abroad team in evaluating semester and yearlong applications and through the decision and acceptance process.
  • Assist in the management of student applications through use of the Terra Dotta software – organize the study abroad photo contest and video scholarship competition.
  • Assist in maintaining strong relationships with key campus offices and international partners.
  • Attend and actively participate in Center for Global Education staff meetings, as appropriate.
  • Assist with study abroad website maintenance.
  • Assist in study abroad marketing efforts through various platforms, including but not limited to social media, print, and presentations.
  • Assist in managing the Study Abroad Ambassador program.
  • Assist in representing study abroad at campus visit days and prospective student events.
  • Perform other projects and tasks, as assigned, which contribute to the effective operation of the study abroad team, Center for Global Education, and North Central College in general.
Qualifications
  • Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
